You can’t. There is no justification possible or needed.
Where people interact, conflict, hurt, misunderstanding, exploitation, etc happens. Social networking sites are just another avenue. In fact, I believe that its easier to distance yourself from online hurt than it is in real life.
The problem is in the society itself. We are a society full of stereotypes and “standards” for each. Thus, a girl with 7 boyfriends is no longer respectable, even though it was mutual consent and no one else’s business really.
These standards are so ingrained and imposed (even if it is out of protectiveness) that stepping out of them causes severe trauma and guilt and rejection of self – which is what I believe lies at the root of all suicide. In fact the “less realness” of the online life actually allows people some amount of freedom to be themselves.
However, online, or offline, relationships are relationships and hurt is hurt. What we need is a less judgmental and more accepting society, where a mistake can be admitted and a person loved in spite of it, if we are to stop such things.

Does Blocking Social Networking Sites Will Increase Traffic Or Website Ranking In Search Engines?
July 12th, 2010Social networking sites can INCREASE your site’s traffic… Why on earth would you think that “blocking” them would help you get traffic?
Social networking in general can help to build up traffic to your site, but do VERY little to help your site’s rankings in the search engines UNLESS 1) you have a huge following and some of your followers begin linking to your site from their web sites or 2) you have something that goes viral on because of social networking and people begin linking to your site.
It’s LINKS that you get through social media that cause your pages to rank better in the search engines’ organic rankings.

Well, I mean, there’s the inherent danger that comes from being in a heavily trafficked place on the internet containing personal information (stalkers, predators, etc). But those people are going to congregate on any popular social networking site. And social networking sites are entirely a function of their popularity. A well-made social networking site that’s not popular isn’t going to be any good. And even a poorly made, but highly trafficked social networking site is going to be “good” (look at Twitter and MySpace!).
As long as you don’t give out too much personal information and you make good use of the privacy settings, Facebook and MySpace are perfectly safe. Any other site isn’t going to have all your friends on it, so it kind of defeats the purpose, don’t you think?

Social Networks Banned In China?
February 24th, 2010I know that facebook, twitter, and YouTube have been banned in China for “criticisms and inaccuracies involving the Chinese government and people.” They say it’s for everyone’s own good, because it keeps bad ideas out. But I’ve listened to many Chinese citizens, and many people (mostly younger below age 30) are absolutely pissed that they can’t stay in touch with friends around the country and the world, and can’t keep on track with videos. Obama just recently said that he hopes China will lift the bans for the sake of freedom, but I doubt that Jintao or any of the others up there will listen.
So, are there any more intelligent reasons for the bans, and do you think that they’ll be lifted or not?
